Christopher Kelly
Christopher Kelly writes stories where grief and humour collide and where broken people try to do good anyway…even if they laugh at the wrong time while doing it. Think the kind of funeral joke that either saves the room or gets you kicked out. Ideally, both.
His pilots have landed on Coverfly’s Red List, placed in the Top 1% of the BBC Open Call, and won the Just For Laughs CBC Pitch Competition.
Christopher holds an MFA in Scriptwriting (or as he calls it, ‘a degree in imagination’) and recently completed a middle-grade novel about monsters, memory, and brotherhood. He once accidentally pitched a show so well to National Lampoon that he had to write the pilot in 30 days just to keep the meeting.
When he’s not writing, Christopher tends to vanish into the world—hiking volcanoes in Guatemala, living on an island in Australia, or training for the Annapurna Trek in Nepal. He falls down a lot. That’s part of the charm.
